Rica has carried out research into central heating controls twice: once in 2014 and once in 2004. These pages have details of the results of our 2004 testing. Visit our 2014 product tests to see information about products tested more recently.
In 2004, we carried out usability testing of 30 different controls with 32 older and disabled people from Rica's consumer research panel. Of the testers, 16 had sight loss and all had limited dexterity, reach or strength.
