Ease-of-use features:
1. Visual features
- The numbering is printed in fairly large roman numerals around the bottom of the dial
- The colour contrast is black and red numbering on an off-white background
- There are red and black arrows on the dial to indicate which way to turn the head to increase/decrease the temperature
- There are large symbols to indicate the on/off and frost protection settings
2. Tactile Features
- The dial has a clear start / stop point and will not twist continuously
- There is tactile groove to indicate the middle setting (setting III) on the TRV, but none of the other settings have a tactile featur
3. Dexterity features
- The TRV head has a large easier-to-grip handle but no textured grip marking
- The dial itself is quite stiff to turn and requires a moderate amount of strength
4. Simplicity
- Very simple to use
Is there anything I should watch out for?
- Although the TRV is marketed as suitable for people with impaired dexterity the handle is smooth plastic and does not have a textured anti-slip surface and the heat is quite stiff and requires a moderate amount of strength to turn
- The temperature markings are displayed at the bottom of the dial and would be difficult to see without bending down
- The use of roman numerals could make it more difficult to for some people to read the settings.
